USC Daybreak Poll Falls to Manipulation?
The reason I have not reported on the USC Daybreak polls of late was something strange started happening and I just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt before proclaiming that – and this is just one man’s opinion, because there is no factual basis for this other than the fact that I have followed this poll every day since shortly after it started up in July. It has pretty much followed real-time events in the battle between Trump and Clinton – until October 18th.
After the Naughty-Word scandal of 11 years ago broke, Trump plummeted 1.3% in a single day. He was coming back strongly – a 4 straight day rise of one full point. On the 18th Daybreak reported a sudden Trump drop of .8% giving back nearly all of his rise.
Hillary Clinton – after a 6-day losing streak where she lost 1.1% in the face of an overwhelming assortment of damaging Wikileaks releases and Project Veritas, had done the impossible and risen .6% in a single day.
Interestingly, my interview on that big San Diego talk show – the Andrea Kaye Show hit the airwaves in southern California, last Tuesday, the 18th.
Could it be that a future Wikileak will show that the Times got a call from the Clinton campaign ordering them to adjust their skews to show Clinton getting a massive surge in that day’s Daybreak Poll and Trump’s numbers crashing?
My alarm bell went off – fake poll, fake poll! For what reason? The incessant drumbeat of not just embarrassments, but revelation of serious criminal behavior not only on the part of Clinton, but of many of her minions surrounding her campaign.
Subsequently for the next 4 days Trump rebounded and held a narrow lead until this morning when Clinton suddenly spiked another full percentage point and Trump crashed .6%. Based on what? There was no particularly bad news with the Trump campaign – only the blare of the MSM that Trump is finished. This is a 7-day rolling average poll. Every day they ask one-seventh of their group who they are voting for.
That means to jump from a nearly dead even, flat trajectory the day before where Trump leads by .3% – to the next day Clinton leading by 1.3% with nothing but negative news and lots of it for Clinton – a total swing of 1.6% in a day !!! – that means that would take about a 15-point swing yesterday if looking at just that one day. That is simply impossible!
Nope, the MSM decided that they would go full-bore rogue in polling and try to knock out Trump now as early voting is in full swing in several states, including Florida – then suffer the consequences later.
Here’s the Washington Post’s take this morning.
“Kellyanne Conway is right. Donald Trump is losing.”
But read the story. That’s not what she says. That’s as bad of a hyped headline as the guy this morning who claimed I was found dead. I’m not going to mention his name and give him more hits.
Anyway, I’ve suspected this for several days that the Daybreak poll has finally succumbed to Clinton pressure.
However, as we’ll see in our next report, Floridians are not cooperating.
Bottom line, I’m pretty much done with Daybreak – until they return to results that come close to tracking what’s going on the ground in this campaign.
